We’re hard at work on our next app, but wanted to put out a quick update to the Puzzld! apps to address some great feedback we’ve gotten from our users.
First, we’ve fixed a bug that has stumped us for a while. The short story is that multitouch gestures on the iPad wreak havoc with these types of games, Puzzld! included. Specifically, in our case, the gesture to switch to another app (four or five finger swipe) is easily invoked by little kids pushing puzzle pieces around. Once the app switch started, even if not completed (often the case with little kids not meaning to switch), puzzle pieces on the board would get “stuck” in place. Very frustrating.
We finally found it a bit ago, after turning on multitouch gestures on our test devices. Things should be fixed there now.
Separately, we noticed a lot of younger children liked to “push” the pieces around the board from behind, rather than touch the pieces directly and drag them around. This form of interaction seems more natural to some kids, it seems. We’re happy to report that we’ve enabled this form of interaction with Puzzld! and Puzzld! To Go.
We love Puzzld!, and want to ensure that everyone can keep using them, so we’re glad to roll out these updates. Keep an eye out for our next app, coming in late fall.
